Prof. Prakhar Pandey Assistant Director, Environmental Law Clinic Jindal Global Law School
We invited Awaaz Leadership Labs’ founder as a key resource person for the orientation and training of the student paralegals enrolled with the welfare rights and environmental law clinic at JGLS. The students absolutely loved interacting with Rohit and expressed that this was the most they had enjoyed and learnt in a classroom. It was inspiring to learn more about the work that Awaaz Leadership Labs does. Highly recommend this workshop for anyone seeking to understand how students’ identities and experiences through diverse learning styles manifest in social justice work!
Anshika Baranwal First Year CNLU, Patna
My experience in JI 101 was genuinely great—it felt like way more than just a workshop! I realised that my love for creativity (seriously, I love crayons!) and realising that saying the harsh truth is actually my superpower. A big lightbulb moment for me was analysing that heated discussion point: I learned that sometimes, a messy idea isn't wrong, it just got stuck using the wrong words, which really boosted my critical thinking. The most powerful takeaway was realizing you don't need a law degree to bring justice to people who need it, and honestly, the whole thing felt like a fantastic therapy session that left me feeling completely happy.
Dr. Auroshikha Mohanty. Visiting Faculty, NLUO
Awaaz team transformed hyperlocal research methodology, something typically introduced at the postgraduate or doctoral level, into an engaging, accessible experience for undergraduate students through JI 101 workshop. Every activity was unique and thoughtfully designed to be interactive and enjoyable, allowing students to learn complex ideas like problem-solving and critical research in an experiential way. Overall, I believe Justice Innovation 101 should be conducted in any university seeking to equip students with the critical thinking, collaboration, and problem-solving skills essential for the 21st century.
